People who are over 6ft tall may struggle with a standard height desk of 73cm, their knees may knock against the desk and elbows will most likely not be at desk height. A simple formula for your correct desk height is your height in inches plus one equals you ideal desk height in cm. For example if you are 6ft 6 this is 78 inches, plus one is 79 - this means 79cm is your ideal desk height.

So if you are for example 6ft 6 then you can have your desk set at 79cm as standard and then when you need a break you can raise the level to as high as 1285mm. The average elbow height for a man is 119cm, so you have plenty of extra height to go to if you are a tall person.
